AEROSIL 200 – OPEN

The specific surface area of AEROSIL 200 is 200 m2/g, making it a hydrophilic fumed silica. The bleaching powders typically made from the salts peroxo and persulfate are less likely to get soggy and cakey when combined with AEROSIL fumed silica. Consequently, free-flow qualities are enhanced even after prolonged storage. Bleaching creams can benefit from the use of this fumed silica as a thickening and stabilizing ingredient.

AEROSIL fumed silica is used in hair colors to stop the powdered colorant components from reacting too quickly and caking. At concentrations up to 4% w/w, it functions superbly as a drying agent.
